Re: Actual Live Performances by real Genos users

Gotta be honest ... listening to this sort of %$^&*£ music is not endearing me to the Genos at all ... over on the VOG group there are more than a few present day Yamaha dealers, these respected dealers are not very kind in their evaluation of this new keyboard ... anyone thinking of buying one ...

My New Baldwin 191 MCO Marquee Organ (1986)

Just bought a super little organ for a fiver ... still in showroom condition - pictures in the video are of the organ I now have at home :)

Enjoy a few tracks by Glenn Derringer - maybe I'll record a few myself when I have sussed it out fully ;)

Re: 20 Minutes of Jimmy Smith

Hahaha .... yeah good ole Jimmy Smith (UK) Still a very very nice player - you may recall him from the early 70's on Opportunity Knocks playing the organ whilst his son played the drums - his son being the 'talent' so to speak. Jimmy went on to being a successful organ retailer in the South of Engla...

Some Older Keyboards Still Sound Remarkably Good

Some of the older keyboard arrangers still have remarkably good sounds even compared to the sounds of the latest models ... the real beauty about them is they don't cost an arm & a leg to buy them - several hundred quid can invariably buy you a good one with extras like stand etc etc ... great i...

Re: New Challenges: Thoughts, Ideas and Suggestions

PS, I have sold the Tyros and replaced it with a Hammond EX-1 ... hopefully I will post a recording or two soon ;)
My EL70 is also on fleaBay - gonna get a BK7M with the proceeds of that giving me up to date styles and voices with the Hammond drawbar sounds ... nice :)

Re: New Challenges: Thoughts, Ideas and Suggestions

Hi All, Don't faint ... it is me  Can I just say in answer to the 'new or old' recording debate ... it really doesn't matter when it was recorded providing, of course, that it is a genuine home recording by the person posting the tune. I would hate to think that some members are going to be un...

Hi Brian and fellow forumites .... Rekindling the challenge section would be great ... I was surprised that it 'faded away' given its previous good support from the members. It's true to say that I haven't been very active on KMF over the last 12 months or so ... there are various reason for this bu...
