Re: My new toy ...

I’ve been after one of these for many years. It’s an awesome bit of kit in my opinion, with some truly thunderous sounds, especially in the organ section.
I’m sure I’ll post up some recordings once I get my head around it!
All the best

Re: Orla Grande Theatre Organ

Hi Ken Very sad for you loss, COVID has ruined far too many lives. I still have my Orla Grande Theatre, GA3, AR100, U60, PA4X keyboard, KN1600 keyboard, and most recently a lovely little Yamaha EL90 .. I really do need help, but I just can’t resist them most of the time. Trouble is they are all orga...

Re: Technics KN1600 Keyboard.

Hi Hugh

Considering it has almost zero value, it can still sound as good as the best stuff available today really. It’s certainly powerful and has great rhythms. Because I don’t play it very often, it’s almost like playing a ‘new’ keyboard whenever I’m away!

Hope your good

Re: Free As A Bird

Thank you Jon and Hugh

Yes, that’s right Hugh the style was created from a midi song.
Using the PA4s on board style creator, it makes a ‘new’ appropriate style with fill ins, intros and endings.
This process takes all of around 10 seconds!

Crazy - song and video

Ok, I have to share this one with all of you.

I love the catchy song played Bachata style, and I am equally mesmerised by the dancing on the video, especially that wiggle!

Not for the faint hearted!

Re: STYLES .. how to EDIT them to suit what you're playing

Hugh, The best place to start with the PA4 is by using the built in ‘style creator’. As he has explained in the Tutorial above (Part 2, Converting MIDI files into Styles) the Pa4X can often create a great style within seconds at the click of a button from a midi file of the song you wish to play. Free As A Bird

Free As A Bird. A song originally composed by John Lennon and then resurrected by the three remaining Beatles. I created the ‘style’ here using the on board PA4 style creator, as I couldn’t find the style I wanted on the factory styles. As you probably know, all you need is a good midi of the song y...

Re: Interview on Oldham Community Radio and the TDP Forum

Enjoyed my listen to your interview Hugh, as am sure many of the regular program listeners did too. I’m sure it will inspire many new members to TDP. Well done indeed, and many thanks for all your continued organ/keyboard enthusiasm here and on the AR group site, you are very appreciated. VBW Peter S

Happy Xmas - War Is Over

Hi all
Never recorded any Christmas songs before, and yet this year I’ve done three!
Hope you don’t mind another one from me as this is my favourite Christmas record, and my favourite of my three recordings.
