Re: From pro-file plastic extrusion to a finished PSR-S900

Very interesting! It's amazing how complicated it is to create a keyboard, using computerized machinery and people all along the way. I wonder if it is Yamaha that invents the method to make the keyboard or does Yamaha go to a manufacturing facility and get them to come up with the technique? Tom G....

Oh wow, that is really great!
I listened to it twice. The second time with the volume way up.

Re: New Yamaha EL Organ (ELB-02)

That's cool. Loved the number he played. I'm guessing he used a MIDI backing? :)

Surely, it must cost more than 2000 euros since that;s only about $2000. That price seems way too low. :?

Re: New T5 Demos

I definitely agree, Mike. The more I hear the new Tyros 5, the more I like it.

I also agree about the blue lights. I do think it's time for an upgrade to the appearance, including the big blue buttons!

Re: Interesting Keyboard Design

Well, it looks interesting.
It sounds like a marimba.
Surely it can produce some better output?

Re: Tyros 5 Launched in Palma de Mallorca (T5 Photo)

Yes, they are probably the brand new Tyros 5 76 keyboards. I saw a spec sheet elsewhere that says the new T5 will utilize new speakers. They are called the MS05's this time. They look the same in the picture so it is not clear what has been done to change them over the T3 and T4 speakers. I do hope ...

Re: Another Tyros Launch Bringing Out The Worst In People!

Yes, a lot of people love to knock things down and complain (me, too, sometimes). In the end, it is what it is. You either like it or don't, buy it or don't. There won't be another Tyros coming along for years, so might as well give this new one a chance!

All right, Eileen. I shall keep an open mind and await the reports from first players and the new owners.

Love that picture, Mike. I will take one of the bunch, please!

Re: Tyros 5 Launched in Palma de Mallorca (T5 Photo)

Well, so much for all the revolutionary changes that were rumored! It looks almost the same and has the same awful speakers that have been around for 10 years. Yes, there are some changes. But, not much really.

Re: Tyros 5 Launched in Palma de Mallorca (T5 Photo)

It's foolish of Yamaha to release the news in dribs and drabs. Only select groups of people are invited on many various dates, All are sworn to secrecy. The rest of the common folk will find out in due time! Come on! They could learn a lesson or two about marketing, in my opinion. Say it loud, say i...

Re: Sud-Claviers Website Preparing For Tyros 5 ....

Hi Mike, I think the excitement over the new Tyros is less this time around. After all, we went through the T1, T2, T3, T4. All were great. All had improvements over the previous model. It's hard to get excited over and over unless there are some real big changes. I just don't think that will be the...
