You think English is easy??

Homographs are words of like spelling but with more than one meaning. A homograph that is also pronounced differently is a heteronym. You think English is easy?? I think a retired English teacher was bored...THIS IS GREAT! Read all the way to the end ................. This took a lot of work to put ...

More puns

I've always wondered if chickens communicated using foul language. Maybe only when they're egg cited. (All white, that’s no yolk! Didn’t crack me up at all!) An invisible man married an invisible woman. The kids were nothing to look at either. I didn’t think the chiropractor would improve my posture...

Taking it all in during the pandemic

Everyone PLEASE be careful because people are going crazy from being locked down at home! I was just talking about this with the microwave and the toaster while drinking my morning juice drink, and we all agreed that things are getting bad. I didn’t mention any of this to the washing machine, becaus...

Four worms and a lesson to be learned!

Food for thought If I had a dollar for every girl that found me unattractive, they'd eventually find me attractive. Minuet by Boccherini

Minuet by Boccherini. I recorded this piece today. It is in similar vein to Haydn’s Serenade that I put up previously, with the plucked strings as accompaniment. If you're not familiar with the work of Steven Wright, he's the famous comic scientist who once said: "I woke up one morning, and all of my stuff had been stolen and replaced by exact duplicates." His mind sees things differently than most of us do. Here are some of his gems…….. 1 - I'd ki...

Haydn's Serenade

One too many for the July Challenge (Classical) so I am putting it in here. The piece (known as Haydn's Serenade) is ascribed to Haydn but is believed to be composed by Roman Hoffstetter: "String Quartet in F major, Hob.III:17". It is meant to be a string quartet but some the other instrum...

TENNERS AND BOBS . . . . Back in the days of tenners and bobs, When Mothers had patience and Fathers had jobs. Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky

It has been a while since I sent in a recording. The learning curve of the Ringway RS1000e was steeper than I thought it would be. It was not helped by the lack of detailed information available so a lot of experimenting was required to find out how things work. One of the most frustrating things is...

Recuerdos de la Alhambra

I surprised myself tonight with an impromptu recording of the classical Spanish guitar piece “Recuerdos de la Alhambra” on the Ringway Rs1000e.
