Re: Yesterdays Thoughts, Own Composition

Hi Peter, That is a very nice composition. Relaxing to listen to. Not sure where your woman walking in a wheat field is actually going? I have realised now that the 'video' to accompany your music was done by Bear Skills and you have credited him with the Copyright. Just perfect to go with your comp...

Re: Blue Hawaii

Hi Val, I don't know why it is, but I love this sort of music. Love the seagulls and the sound of the sea in the intro, and then into that Hawaiin guitar sound which sets the atmosphere for the whole piece. Nice change to pan pipes (?), then back to that wonderful Hawaiin guitar sound. Does take me ...

Re: A swinging Foxtrot version of a Beatles number

Hi Brian,

Well, that was a bit different! You got that Leslie working just fine. Again, just love the sound of that harmonica. Very apt for 60s music.

Re: This Magic Moment

Hi Gerry, Soon as I heard your intro I thought, "This is from the 60's!". It has that unmistakable sound of that era. Liked how you sang it, and particularly the bits of 'vocal harmony' here and there. And the little 'interlude' in the middle with the strings sounded really good. Yamaha do...

Re: May Each Day

Hi Jacko, It's nice to hear you playing again. I like the way you have a 'percussive voice' (piano) playing with a 'continuous' voice (organ). This combination always goes very well together. It brings out the melody in two different ways. Trouble with all of us .. we're not getting any younger! So ...

Re: A traditional folk song from the Bahamas

Hi Brian,

You certainly got that 'Beach Boys' sound for this one. I always did like the Beach Boys so this has brought back many memories.

Just wondering how you actually do a recording when two instruments are involved, as this one is in Mono (or rather, two-track Mono) rather than Stereo?

Re: Hallelujah

Hi Margaret,

Yes, that arpeggio certainly went very well with the tune. Interesting that you changed the 'voice' allocated to the arpeggio. I enjoyed your 'choir' too.

Re: Darling-Clementine.

Hi Jon, This piece is written is a Waltz, which can be very slow and dull, and has never been a favourite of mine. But you have transformed it into a very 'lively' Quickstep. It's interesting to hear how you have 'adapted' the tune to fit the new beat. You are very talented to be able to do this! Hugh

Re: PRETEND YOU DON'T SEE HER MY HEART

Hi Roy, That's another great song you have played and sung. Many of us who play keyboards would love to be able to sing as you do, but sadly I do not have the voice for it. I reckon too that singing is not as simple as you make it sound, as there are intonations in the voice, and pauses that are jus...

Re: Call Me Darling.

Hi George, You have shown how you really can replicate a 'big band' just using a keyboard. That really was so realistic. When it sounds like that, I don't think one would ever have to hire a band for a musical production. No wonder the Unions were so anti allowing keyboards to be used to accompany '...
