St Patricks Day

I served my National service in an Irish tank regiment. The RSM was a cavalry fanatic and hated tanks. He was also full of bull so on St Pats Day he had us on parade with a sprig of shamrock attached to our berets. I thought I had put those not pleasant memories behind me. However they have returned...

Re: Windows 10 and recording with Audacity - a BIG PROBLEM!

Hi! Hugh
With my EL700 organ I take the audio out via the headphones socket. Using a splitter plug out from the organ to USB in at PC. I can listen using headphones while recording in audacity. The organ speakers are silenced using this method.

Re: I Left My Heart in San Francisco- January Challenge

Hi!
A great song and well played. Years ago an elderly neighbour asked me to play it for him. At the end he was crying. It turned out it was the city he and his wife visited together before she went on. Sadly he has joined her. Ken S.

Hi!
The Red Rose of May was composed by Stephen Foster in 1850. An old American folk

My Special Song - The Rose

Hi! Some years ago, Jean Martyn played for our society. She took requests at half time. So I asked her to play "The Rose" for my wife who was in a wheelchair and also suffered dementia. Jean played it and brought tears to my eyes. When she spoke to Doreen from the stage D responded. It was...

Re: Selection of Christmas Music played by Kathryn Holley

Hi! Hugh. Great recordings. Good to listen to. As you know I like to know the ins and outs of everything. So, as she sent you a CD I wondered how she managed to record it. Does the AR have some facility to do that? What type of files did you convert to MP3 ?. Ken S.
