Re: Faulty Tyros repairs

Ron,

At least you did manage to contact him .. and got a reply. If he had been uncontactable then that would have been a really bad omen. Maybe he hasn't been that clever at fixing it. Maybe ask him to have it back whatever state the keyboard is in. That may spur him on to get it fixed.

Setting your keyboard up to play "Left Bank Two".

When looking for a YouTube video of Left Bank Two (the Vision On Gallery Theme Tune) I came across this one from the Tyros Tipsters. Worth looking at as he shows you how to adjust the sound of the Vibraphone to better suit the song. Of course the parts he is changing can be done with any Voice, not ...

Re: Green Grow The Rushes, O

The music for this track is from the MP3 put up by JT (barwonfan) in his post ' I sing you one, O ' in the February 2022 Challenge. This lasted for 1min 34secs and I needed it to be longer to make a video from it. So ... I used Audacity to 'mark' his piece where he had just come in with the rhythm a...

Re: Rhythm of the Rain

Brian, Loved putting that video together for you. With a subject like 'rain' it was fairly easy to find suitable clips from Pixabay .. but I did get very wet! I left the original sound on the first clip so you could hear the rain before the music started playing. Then I 'mute' any sound on subsequen...

Re: Creating New Artwork

James, Looks good. Since you have asked what we think, I would move your keyboard images over to the left a bit more to make each side more symmetrical. This would also put more space between your keyboard images and the 'block writing', which at the moment are too close and are impinging on each ot...

Re: practicing chord progressions without a keyboard

Brian,

You did say that the best way of doing your own composition is to start with a CHORD PROGRESSION rather than a MELODY. The video above is doing just that.

Re: Windows 10 and recording with Audacity - a BIG PROBLEM!

Brian, What a brilliant video! He has explained quite clearly what the problem is. The UCA202 (I have the UCA202 which is identical to the UCA222) needs the proper DRIVER for it to work properly. And Andy has said this as well: Locate and find, then install the correct and most up to date drivers fo...

Re: Windows 10 and recording with Audacity - a BIG PROBLEM!

Now as I am getting a recording in proper STEREO on my old laptop, there can't be a problem with my recording equipment. Recording in STEREO to Audacity in Windows 10 - RESOLVED

Handel's Largo & Comments about playing a keyboard.

I don't often play classical pieces as a classical piece usually involves movement with both hands playing notes .. and to do this you have to be able to read the music.
