Re: practicing chord progressions without a keyboard

Hi John,

To me chords are just about everything, right through my musical career ( sounds impressive ) I have used chords for my music , be it in a band playing guitar or on an arranger keyboard for the auto accompaniment it all needs chords, so get stuck in young man

Re: practicing chord progressions without a keyboard

Hi Hugh,

Its a handy little online program for experimenting with chord progressions and yes I always start with a chord progression for anything I create
as it does give you a good Idea what notes to use for the bassline and a good Idea what the melody line could be

Re: Windows 10 and recording with Audacity - a BIG PROBLEM!

Hi Hugh, Behringer dont do a driver that you want, or they did not, and Audacity does not natively support AISO. Here are links to what I have used and are as far as I know safe 64 Bit driver https://www.dropbox.com/s/ktf6wn2aok45xgh/BEHRINGER_2902_X64_2.8.40.zip?dl=0 32 bit driver https://www.dropb...

practicing chord progressions without a keyboard

Hi ALL,

As I don't own an arranger keyboard any longer being able to quickly try chord progressions is a big miss, but found this on another keyboard site

Re: Windows 10 and recording with Audacity - a BIG PROBLEM!

Hi Hugh, My initial thoughts would be to record the audio onto your Tyros 4s hard drive as a wave file and copy from there to a usb stick and import that into Audacity that way. The only time I have recorded into Audacity directly was when I had a Korg arranger and the onboard recordings were not th...

Re: Pink Pantheress (Radio 1 Sound Of 2022 winner)

Hi Hugh, I do find modern vocal music very unstructured, but that's probably just because I am an old fart that's used to the structured music of the 60s through to the 80s, and thats why if I listen to current day music its nearly always instrumentals as opposed to vocals as they do tend to have mo...

Re: 2022

Hi Hugh, Thanks lot for having a listen and commenting, To be honest using chords as a basis for the tune is really old school and the easiest way to do it as you more or less have the Bass and melody line notes decided for you by the chords. This approach for me comes from using an arranger keyboar...
