Give me proper music any day. I don't think many would want to listen to this type of noise for long. How ever it is all on Genos if you want to play like this.

Personally I find these settings a bit over the top. I do prefer to use the Genos settings Loud and use very little compression.
At the end of the day it depends on what type of music you play.

Yes Ken I remember these but don't remember using them much. Now on Yamaha keyboard we have the choice of using an intro for a bridge. Usually intro two works well for this.

I have had my Genos now since last November and love every minute spent with it. To me it is the best keyboard Yamaha have produced so far. The touch screen works extremely well and is easy to use as is the keyboard. Would like to hear if any one else has one and how you find it.

Dose anyone have the Genos here. If so how are you getting on with it.

This used to be one of Tony Back's favorite songs to sing at his concerts. I enjoyed your version and using one of the most used Intro's on Yamaha keyboards. Have not seen you on Judy's site for a while. Thought you may be unwell.

I have had my Genos since November and it is just great. Touch screen works very well and makes things quicker to do. Sound is gorgeous and the new Revo drums give the styles a real boost. The inbuilt flash memory holds all my packs with space to spare for more if required. It is a joy to play.

I think this one will suit Tyros 5 better.

When you log in to music soft you must go to Library and there will be the record of all you have purchased. You will then be able to download the Genos update packs. I think most have been done now. I am using the Euro Artist pack for Genos and it is fine.

Playlist is certainly a great improvement over Music Finder. You can also produce your own set lists for gigging this way too.

If you already play Yamaha you will be surprised how quickly you get used to it and it is beautiful just to play with many of the one touch play settings, as many of the styles have much better balance to them now. If you get a chance to try one have a go.

Thought this may be of interest to some

The problem seems to be that they can't record the style part in step record using a third party style but then I am not to Shure if you can do this on Tyros 5. It is something I have never used. I think most of us just sit and play while we record the song.

I don't know many people that use step record on there songs. But don't forget there is an update coming so we must wait and see what it alters or adds.

Whitley Bay are still going as they were Taken over by the Tyros Tipsters Guys.

This keyboard is tailored more for the overseas market with its new S button. Better to wait for the completely new model which will probably come along in a couple of years.

The operating system is mostly the same as most Yamaha keyboards. Hi Brian, I notice the member did not say what was in the folders. If he was looking for styles but had not pressed the style button first then of course the file would have been empty. Seems a little strange that the Genos turning off would corrupt a drive or a USB. More likely to lose content than...

The fact that all our old content that has probably taken years to collect will still be usable is brilliant. Of course some will need tweaking to our own taste but that is all part of the fun.

Nothing will beat listening to it and playing it for yourself but we must remember Genos is not a Tyros, nor is it an upgraded Tyros.

Yes this Guy had only had the Genos an hour before he did this demo and just sat and played the OTS settings as they come. Imagine what can be done when getting further into this keyboard. Still waiting for mine. Told it will be November.

Whilst being very interesting there is an awful lot more to Genos. We must also remember he is a dealer in the USA and did state that organ world was not on Genus any more but it is.

I have to say the sounds we heard from Genos are so much more alive and are greatly improved by the new overall sound system.

Here in the UK the price depends on if you have the speakers and stand. If you just have the Keyboard and speakers it is around £4600 but shops are giving good PX deals at the moment. It pays to shop around.
