JT, I too wear hearing aids .. which I wear from the moment I get up to when I go to bed. When they carried out my hearing test they drew a graph showing me where my hearing loss was greatest. Basically, I had no problem hearing lower frequencies, but as the frequencies got higher, this is where my ...
What I loved about this song was the harmony of it. Very unusual chord progressions. That's what did it for me. Anyone could have sung it, but I did think that Liza Minnelli's 'rounded' voice really did suit the song.
Written by the Pet Shop Boys in 1988, this song was sung by Liza Minnelli. Played on my Tyros 4. 1766094121903625 https://www.ar-group.org/Files/ChallengeJan2024_1.jpg Liza Minnelli - So Sorry, I Said IE7PJXxlFWA Comments from under the video: I discovered this song in 2020 and I’m speechless how go...

They have put quite a few things in different places so when you want to do something they are no longer where you expect to find them .. like COPYING or EMBEDDING your music. But everything is still there, somewhere. They have also made you specify right from the word go the CATEGORY your music sho...
That completes the Quiz. A thanks to Jo Lucas who runs our Organ Club in Weston-Super-Mare. It was she who put together this Quiz in the first place for Members of the club.
This was quite a challenge, as finding video clips of people 'walking, or flying through the air' isn't something you'd come across every day. So I went for an 'animated' approach, using GIFS that were transparent to run along with suitable video clips. Something completely different for me to look ...
I have heard more from Del B, whose YouTube performances using Audio Multitracking are in this topic a little further up ... He says: Hi Hugh. Thanks for sharing the multi-tracking of my performances on your site .. much appreciated, The Carol Of The Bell s although there are a lot of bells playing,...
Ron, How you managed to put all those bass notes in and make it fit beats me! But I find it difficult to relate to what is clearly a 'jazz' piece, and as such the harmonies are very obscure. It's almost as if everyone is just doing their own thing and hoping for the best. Either you like it, or you ...
I asked on the PSR Tutorial Forum if anyone had used the Audio Recorder to do MULTITRACKING, and had an answer from somebody called Del B, who said: Hi Hugh. Yes I have multitracked using the Audio Recorder, on my YouTube channel. Carol of the bells is one, I know him so well , and Blue Christmas is...
Den, That was great! One of the best recordings you have done! Liked the way you have played this song 'as it would be sung' and haven't religiously followed the dots as if their timing was set in stone. You change the picture by finding the Edit .. which is the 'pencil' symbol on the right (obvious...
Notation Must Die: The Battle For How We Read Music If you're at a loose end and have time to listen to how written music evolved, then click the below (maybe watch Full Screen). I must admit that for someone who doesn't read music, seeing all those demi-semi-demi quavers and keys with six flats is...
John .. that's right this time! Roll Out The Barrel . "Beer Barrel Polka", originally in Czech "Škoda lásky", also known as "The Barrel Polka", "Roll Out the Barrel", or "Rosamunde", is a 1927 polka composed by Czech musician Jaromír Vejvoda. UrwPE0Z...
John .. good guess, but NO, it's not that! I will just say that that is the answer to one of the questions further down the line .. so keep an eye on this topic and jump in with that answer when it's the right question.
Nice arrangement of that song! How did you get the little counter-melody in the background for the verse (and you did that again later, too). Were you using a Left Hand Voice to emphasize that top note in the chord? Or did you Multitrack that little melody in afterwards?
The November Challenge has CLOSED .. but ... When a Challenge CLOSES at the end of the month .. this just means that you can't post another entry. But feel free to post REPLIES to any of the songs that are already up there. If you find something interesting that you think other Members would like to...
Very impressed with that! Not being a bass player I find it difficult to 'think like a bass player'. I liked those 'high' bass notes towards the end .. and that run down the scale to finish the piece off.
There are some on the PSR Tutorial Forum who would say, "Why bother? No one would notice anyway. Just press some buttons and play some songs." Been in a band, done that. We used to play songs one after another for people to dance to. It gives me no satisfaction to do that now. The fun I ge...
Hopefully this one will get you in the mood for Christmas. Over A Thousand People Came Together To Break a Record And Bring This Moving Christmas Hymn To Life. The Piano Guys, Peter Hollens, David Archuleta, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir get together to sing "Angels From the Realms of Glory.&...
Christmas Carols & Festive Songs 2023 We are doing the same as last year. You can post any Christmas Music that you have played (obviously!) .. including a repeat of anything that you have put up in previous years, going back to when this section started in 2013. And .. you can post ANY Christm...
Now that you have practised putting in a BASS by 'playing with the band', here is how to get that bass part into the mix and end up with a WAV file that everybody can listen to. Bear in mind that once you have put in this bass part, you can listen to what you have done before SAVING it .. and if you...
