Re: The Winner Takes It All

Tony,

Thanks for posting that. You have certainly captured the essence of the Abba song

The YouTube video you found was first class and portrays the tune at it's best.

Michael Jackson - Earth Song

Ron, Enjoyed that .. but I have to say that I haven't heard this one before, and had no idea it was the theme song for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics (I had in my mind a completely different song which I had thought they used for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics!). Re: So Sorry I Said

Ron,

What I loved about this song was the harmony of it. Very unusual chord progressions. That's what did it for me. Anyone could have sung it, but I did think that Liza Minnelli's 'rounded' voice really did suit the song.

Re: Wind beneath my wings

Ron,

That was a very 'grand' version of that song. It has some lovely harmonies, which you replicated to perfection.

Watch the official video for Bette Midler - Wind Beneath My Wings, which was a #1 single from the soundtrack to the 1988 film Beaches.

Re: Walking In The Air

This was quite a challenge, as finding video clips of people 'walking, or flying through the air' isn't something you'd come across every day. Ron, Using a FreePlay Style for this was a brilliant move! As you said, there are no Styles for some tunes, and this is one of them. Re: MULTITRACKING using the AUDIO RECORDER

Ron, How you managed to put all those bass notes in and make it fit beats me! But I find it difficult to relate to what is clearly a 'jazz' piece, and as such the harmonies are very obscure. It's almost as if everyone is just doing their own thing and hoping for the best. Either you like it, or you ...

Re: Happy Xmas War is Over

Brian,

Nice arrangement of that song! How did you get the little counter-melody in the background for the verse (and you did that again later, too). Were you using a Left Hand Voice to emphasize that top note in the chord? Or did you Multitrack that little melody in afterwards?

Re: MULTITRACKING using the AUDIO RECORDER

Ron,

Very impressed with that! Not being a bass player I find it difficult to 'think like a bass player'. I liked those 'high' bass notes towards the end .. and that run down the scale to finish the piece off.
