Big Ben under repair

Can you believe they have been fixing Big Ben, in London, for over three years now?

Even more surprising, when you know they've been working round the clock.

Do you want to know if you are old?

If you want to know if you are old, then simply fall over in front of a group of other people.

If they laugh, you are still young.

If they, on the other hand, rush to help you, you are old.

Re: Wersi Drawbars, and Drawbar Settings for Other Organs

Drawbar is the name of the original feature employed on Hammond organs and they patented that. So everyone else who copied the idea names them something else (apart from Wersi?). Yamaha called them Flute/Tibia on their AR organs, and AR organists tend to refer to them as 'light bars' (to select the...

Re: Left hand chordsc

Yes, Hugh, I agree.

Chord Construction

D + major interval = Gb (scale degree = 3rd)
Gb + major interval = A# (scale degree = sharp/augmented 5th)
A# + minor interval = C (scale degree = minor 7th)

So I'd play the notes......D Gb A# C

Now for some essential details to remember when trying to emulate the sound of a clarinet on your Keyboard. Re: Ensuring you play instruments in their appropriate range

When it comes to using Voices that mimic actual musical instruments, if we understand something about how the original instrument functions it should be easier to use that Voice on our Keyboards and make it sound more realistic. What keys we play and how we handle them does make a difference. The Cl...

Re: Pitch within keyboards ...

As everybody must realise, in an orchestra no two instruments are tuned to precisely identical pitches.
