Re: A Very Handy Little Gadget - Mp3 Hardware Encoder/Decode

Hi

I find it easiest to record direct to a computer (WAV file). then edit & encode for mp3 if needed for publication on the web.

I rarely use the on-board recorders on my keyboards that have them.

Re: Converting You Tube clips to MP3

Hi Both sound interesting. I've used Real Player (the basic, free version) to download videos for use in church (legally!) and Format Factory to convert them to a format that our presentation software can recognize. Personally I'd be more interested in You Tube to WAV conversion to maintain quality ...

Re: Discovery Of A Few LP's In The Attic

Hi I've not got that many - but it is interesting to get nostalgic. Last year I was given some Wersi demo LPs (Mark Shakespeare for one). Re: NAMM 2013: Vibrato Sax Polycarbonate Saxophones

Hi

I bought my wife a plastic clarinet a year or two back - called a "Clarineo", it's in C and makes quite a reasonable sound.

my son has a plastic trombone - not heard that yet.

Re: Food, Fashion & Triple Fortissimo (fff)

Hi Pedal pianos, and before that, pedal Harpsichords & Clavichords, have been around a long time, but are relatively rare, used primarily for organ practice, although Schumann did write a set of pieces for pedal piano (these days normally played on organ though). There are 2 versions, the comple...
