Hi Den,

Know what you mean, time just slips by things change or disappear and we dont always notice, good job that someone keeps a photographic record of these changes.

Re: Chester-le-Street a short video, and some great music

Hi Mike,

I knew he was a local lad but apart from the 2 songs you mentioned I had never really taken much interest in him, until I heard this track that's on the video a very good guitar player and songwriter.

Rosie's Song

Hi ALL, Unfortunately our 8 year old Lurcher dog called Rosie died last Sunday afternoon, and as you can imagine it has made both me and the wife very sad , so I thought I would try and create a short piece of music as a celebration of her life. Re: How well can you pick up a melody 'by ear'?

Hi Hugh, To me our music is mostly instrumental cover versions of songs/tunes, just like many artist cover other artist materials / song and they do invariably try to put their own stamp on it in some way, so this is where we have a certain amount of licence as to how we cover the original song, All...

Re: How well can you pick up a melody 'by ear'?

Hi Hugh, I find playing by ear fairly easy even in my teens that was the way I played my music, sheet music was available but expensive and a good travel to find a shop that sold it. As regards playing what you think you hear and what's actually right is another thing, I find some sheet music or sco...
