Re: Recording one's keyboard/organ - Overview

Hi Hugh I imagine most of us use Audacity to create MP3 or Wav. I recently did a windows update that sent my Audacity haywire. Had to uninstall and start again. Then had problems with its set up. Managed to do a system restore to pre the update before I could get Audacity working. Have now refused a...

Re: Why are pieces played in one particular key?

Hi! Each Thursday morning I take my wife to a singing for the brain session. This is run by the Alzheimers Soc and stimulates the brain of unfortunates who suffer from Dementia. The professional who leads us plays a keyboard while reading music. She frequently uses the transposing tab to alter the k...

Re: Organ and Keyboard Club, Weston-super-Mare

Hi! Hugh I see in March you had E Harrison. She is good. I remember her telling us she comes from farming stock and now has her own farm. She collects vintage tractors. Also when the council stopped tidying the verges in her village she took on the task herself but blokes used to pinch her wheelbarr...

Re: Something Classical

Hi! Some of my favourites here. Thanks for your input. My mother was a classical trained pianist and I was brought up on classical music. Mike.
I am absolutely gobsmacked. Just what we wanted. The plan is to make the wedding an all day festival in a field with marquees etc. One feature will be a maypole dance with all singing new words to the music. Thanks again and again KEN

So sad. Brian played for us many times here at Bristol. Well remember first visit when he disappeared during the mid evening break. You can guess where we found him. His refreshment improved the performance and his jovial approach always won us over. Sadly missed Ken

Re: North east keyboard club 11/1

Hi John. I envy you your club. We have the Bristol Hammond and Electronic Organ Soc. down here. I am a founder member and we are in our 50th year but regretably membership rapidly declining. It seems to attract only pensioners and the inevitable happens. We have an organist ( at considerable cost ) ...

Re: Using a keyboard as a slave unit

Hi! Ken H In MIDI there are 16 channels. Try get into the MIDI page first on the keyboard and turn off each channel in turn and turning previous off back on. Keep a careful record of what you do. That way you may find the culprit channel. If that does not work try same with Orla MIDI. MIDI is a mine...
