Korg PA3 UltimaX v Tyros TRX System

I got wind of a project by a Midlands retailer of the development of two new keyboard stands designed specifically for the PA series keyboards ... the same retailer, presumably with assistance from Korg UK, is about to launch a 'Korg' version of the TRX system called the Korg PA3 UltimaX 8) :D This ...

Re: Chester-le-Street 7/4/2014

I live in Shiney Row just a few miles from Chester le Street and have never heard of this club. I am a member of the North East Organ Society which meets in Birtley where we have some excellent concerts but a dwindling audience. I would be interested to hear more of this society. Does it have a web...

Hammond X-66 Sound-pack For Tyros 3, 4 and 5

Hammond X66 for Tyros The 'Hammond Sound' .... What is it? Many would argue that it's the sound of the B3 played in a style similar to Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco or Tony Monaco ... but not me ... I would liken that to an artist with a paint palette containing every conceivable colour shade but o...

Some older keyboard still have remarkably good sounds ...

Some of the older keyboard arrangers still have remarkably good sounds even compared to the sounds of the latest models ... the real beauty about them is they don't cost an arm & a leg to buy them - several hundred quid can invariably buy you a good one with extras like stand etc etc ... great i...

Korg: Outside The Box

Jordan Rothlein met Tatsuya Takahashi and Tadahiko Sakamaki in Tokyo to put a face on hardware design and engineering. One of the biggest stories in electronic music right now isn't limited to a particular beat structure, music scene, nightclub, producer or record label. Whether you know it or not,...

Re: finding out about your keyboard-organ

Hi Brian, I don't think any of us really get to master our instruments fully ... even the most accomplished performers are constantly discovering new things about their keyboards ... we tend to intentionally learn about the parts that we gravitate towards ... and anything else is usually a serendipi...

Re: Oh my word ... is this the 4th, 5th or 6th Time?

It's one of the good forums and I wouldn't let any one person keep me from being a member. Only his hairdresser knows. Unfortunately Wally ... we are not even safe from the mans actions on PSR ... I have been banned from that site .... http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/ab92/tiercedepicardiec...

What .... no members and another new name? A sweet lesson on patience.

A sweet lesson on patience. A NYC Taxi driver wrote: I arrived at the address and honked the horn. After waiting a few minutes I honked again.
