I thought it would be a good idea to have a monthly competition where a type of sound is selected at random and members have to create a registration (registration Yamaha / Keyboard Sets Korg). The best sounding registration wins ?

It’s a shame that a lot of people don’t fully use what arrangers they already have.

Just wondering when you store your registrations, what boxes you have ticked ? Do you use the freeze option and how do you balance your registrations ?

When we have 1000s of sounds at our fingertips it's important to balance our sounds, styles and registrations so as you change registrations the sound is smooth and volumes or effects all over the place.

Filling up those registrations and ots is also a task, when you sit down and create your arrangements.

I thought It would be interesting to start a thread on the Tyros 4 DSP function or for the other models and how it can be used to change your sound ?

I find myself revisiting songs that id previously created arrangements for and end up reworking the registrations sometimes changing the sounds and the eq of the individual instruments, panning the sounds and tweaking the volumes / effects.

Where does the time go when your creating registrations and arrangements for your songs ?

As we have the next batch of Arrangers looming on the Horizon. I wonder what percentage of your existing arrangers features get used before you think about getting another or adding to your setup.

Do you use the One Song Per Registration Bank System or Do You Have Your Own System?

When creating registrations how do you keep the transitions smooth I've the volumes of the right parts so for example :

Registration 1 and 2 have similar volume so one is not too loud and the other not too quiet etc.etc ...

You hear a few people say I just purchased Keyboard X and it doesn't sound like it did when it was being demonstrated. Most arranger keyboards have some sort of master Eq and limiter / compressor ...

On the Korg Arrangers Pa700 to Pa4x the is a Limiter on the Master Eq. I'm not quite sure what the different controls do.

First of two gigs with Tyros 4 and Korg Pa700 since the return of the Tyros 4.

When Eq ing sound it can be confusing how a sound, or overall sound is affected.

My Tyros 4 is now back.
