Re: Best way to view Embedded Videos on this Forum

Thanks for posting this information Hugh. Can't say I understand it all but it's certainly a reference for when I next post a you tube video. :D

Re: Ring Light

I'd never heard of a ring light and suspected I'd have to enquire at Anne Summers for details. Lo and behold Argos sell them. :D :D :D

Re: Chester-le-Street a short video, and some great music

Some excellent photos there Brian. Drove to Chester le Street this morning as my son lives there. This shows just how much the place has changed. When I was a bairn it seemed like miles away. Our mams used to arrange a bus trip for us to spend the day in Chester from Sunderland. Walk around the Frid...

Re: What are Registration Memories, and how are they used?

Hi All I've just come across this demonstration of how a professional would set up his registrations for a show using a Lowrey organ. I was particularly impressed over how he set up the timpani drum roll, I'll definitely use that. Might be worth a listen. It won't tell you how to set up a registrati...

Re: Now this does sound nice

Hi Brian I love watching the Lowrey demonstrations on YouTube. This is right up my street. Loved the organ voices from 22 minutes. Not that keen on the new styles though. How much are these 13 -14 thousand I suppose. You can arrange a home demonstration of this model. Can you imagine having this del...

Re: What are Registration Memories, and how are they used?

Hi Hugh That's a great explanation. They're a must for all players. I wish you could save a registration by speaking to the keyboard though, it would be much easier. "OK keyboard, save this setup in Bank 5 Mack The Knife". Much better than pressing buttons and renaming don't you think. It'...

Re: Changing rhythm backings in a piece

Interesting observation Hugh.

Well now instead of sitting and thinking "what shall I play" it's "lets mess around with the rythms and see what comes out".

All good fun.

Re: Blackpool

Hi Fred

Can't believe the lack of information regarding the Tower Organ Concerts. One site shows there is a Wurlitzer concert on September 9th but no more information.

I think you'll have to ring them and hopefully there will be a human being at the other end of the phone.

Good luck.

Re: Ticket Prices

Hi Brian You're the only other person I've known who had a Bird amp. I had the 30 watt with built in real reverb. It had a hell of a mains hum but was fine for the wash house. Paid £30 quid for it. I saw it in an old Bells catalogue a few weeks ago. Sold many an AC30, tops and combos. Can even remem...

I don't mind paying premium prices if I'm going to be entertained but in this concert he's brought along a few guests who I've never heard of but I'm expected to pay for them. Re: Two new models of arranger keyboards from Yamaha

I did think about waiting when I purchased the 770 (£700). I'm so glad I didn't as I would have been bitterly disappointed. £400 more than I paid for the 770 six months ago for what? Absolutely nothing. How many styles do you need considering every style from the Tyros is available for free. I could...

Re: Yamaha PSR S770

By coincidence it was AC Hamiltons who I purchased the Roland piano from. They gave great service but weren't interested in taking it back as a trade in on the Yamaha. I considered the Korg but was afraid of making the same mistake as I did trading the Tyros for the Roland system. I played safe and ...
