Re: White Christmas

Den, That was great! One of the best recordings you have done! Liked the way you have played this song 'as it would be sung' and haven't religiously followed the dots as if their timing was set in stone. You change the picture by finding the Edit .. which is the 'pencil' symbol on the right (obvious...

Notation Must Die: The Battle For How We Read Music If you're at a loose end and have time to listen to how written music evolved, then click the below (maybe watch Full Screen). Re: Happy Xmas War is Over

Brian,

Nice arrangement of that song! How did you get the little counter-melody in the background for the verse (and you did that again later, too). Were you using a Left Hand Voice to emphasize that top note in the chord? Or did you Multitrack that little melody in afterwards?

Re: MULTITRACKING using the AUDIO RECORDER

Ron,

Very impressed with that! Not being a bass player I find it difficult to 'think like a bass player'. I liked those 'high' bass notes towards the end .. and that run down the scale to finish the piece off.

There are some on the PSR Tutorial Forum who would say, "Why bother? No one would notice anyway. Just press some buttons and play some songs." Been in a band, done that. We used to play songs one after another for people to dance to. It gives me no satisfaction to do that now. The fun I ge...

Re: The Wind Beneath My Wings

Ken,

With a song like this (nice and slow) the harmony comes out so well on an organ. Loved the sound you got .. sort of 'haunting'.
