In our medical center this is ILLEGAL! How about that.

In our medical center now it is not permitted to tell a woman she has nice eyes, you cannot complement her on her hair do, hair colour, dress or ornamentation, necklace, ear rings, finger rings or bracelets. If you do it is reported to her petticoat dictator and you get a severe dressing down. I have been asked not to go back to the medical center because I told a nurse she had NICE EYES! It was a complement. How pathetic can that be?.

With much sorrow. :(  :(

Hi! Den. Its all about this woke business. Over here we have Anne Widdicome and Nigel Farage taking up the cudgels against it. Sad aint it Ken.

Hi Den. Sign of the times. However picture the scene. An elderly gentleman about 70. Goes to his local surgery for blood test. In the surgery a female nurse about half his age has taken his blood before. The gentleman sits on the examination couch and stretches his arm to the floor. The nurse sits on the floor and takes his blood. She then asks if she can put her hand on his leg to get up. Which he agrees but says if anyone comes in he is denying anything of this compromising position. The nurse explains that she has recently hurt her big toe and rather than go sick she prefers to work. The only way to get up was to have some support.
A true story with me and the nurse and we recall it on each of my visits. I wonder if this reversal would put your problem in another light. Keep safe and well, keep taking the tablets trust me I’m a doctor. John

I don't often make comments to people in public places, but this one time, as I was going through the checkout in Tesco, I noticed that the girl who was serving me looked different to how I had seen her before. She now had short hair and had had it highlighted.

So I said to her, "I hope you don't mind me saying so, but I really like your hair .. it really suits you."

She gave me a great big smile, and said, "Thank you! I didn't think anybody had noticed."

Thanks for your comforting words John T. Last Monday, 23-8 we got a big increase in CV cases in our town. Things started to get out of hand. So the medical center just closed down and everyone went home! Do you need some help? Reassurance? Maybe testing? That's sad, no good going to the doctor, he has gone home.
When I went to the hospital I was treated in the very best of terms. I could have been the only person in that hospital. Smiles, help and a chattering of what they were doing to me. That probably helped me more that anything. Now I am home alone again. Gives me time for my music. I enjoy my own company.
Info.

You spend more time with yourself than anyone else, so make sure that you are in good company.

Regards, Den.

I am on my own. So when I feel low I go to the kitchen and kick my surreal cat.

Hi Den

Look at it from a different perspective.

If you were a good looking 18 year old girl, would you want some 82 year old to constantly try and chat you up.

I know I would not - maybe if I was 90 I might think it was OK

Regards

Fred
