A Horse With No Name.

Postby barwonfan » 20 Aug 2022 00:52

This song was written in 1972 and topped the charts in Europe, America and Australia. Keeps ringing in my ears. [Is that called "an ear worm?"] It has a driving rhythm, which could become quite monotonous , but for some reason I find it compelling. Lots more detail on Wikipedia. Anyone one like to have a crack at it , and putting it up in Instrumental Performances? J.T.

I love listening to members performances on this forum and I ALWAYS turn off the speakers on my lap top and plug in my headphones.

JT,

This is the song you are on about.

America - A Horse With No Name (1972)

Yes, it has got a 'catchy beat', and I can see why you liked it. But the melody? Repetitive and very monotonous! A two chord song. Not very challenging!.
