Highlights from Movies.

I rarely go to the movies, but some movies spring into my mind from time to time.When I was a teenager I went to see "An American In Paris" three times. I think that Gershwin's music in that film was wonderful.
In 1983 I saw "Man Of Flowers" and thought the scenes where the actor Norman Kaye felt an urgent need to seek relief from his troubles by going to his pipe organ and playing. {It relaxed him}
In 2010 the BBC produced "The Singing Detective" and the scene where Dennis Potter is sitting in his hospital bed and the doctors and nurses dance around his bed singing 'Dem bones dem dry bones now hear the word of the Lord" was just glorious.
And , of course, the music in the 1984 movie"Armadeus" is unforgetable.

I love listening to members performances on this forum and I ALWAYS turn off the speakers on my lap top and plug in my headphones.
