Going into hospital

Postby Pamela » 01 May 2013 13:35

HI Folks, I will be away from the forum for a while as I'm going in to hospital in the morning to have my tear ducts enlarged and an operation on my eyelids, not looking forward to it one little bit as I shall have my eyes taped shut for two days, and been told I shall be black and blue, so early morning up up and away, before I have time to think about it, so hopefully I shall be back next week some time... Pam

Hello Pam,

Well I hope all goes well for you tomorrow, I'm not a lover of hospitals either but it's best place to be for these things ... that's providing they don't slip and poke your eye out trying to fix your tear ducts

Seriously though Pam, all the best and I look forward to seeing you back with us, a 100% fit, soon :)

All the best.

Hi Pam

Sorry to hear that you have to go into hospital-- not a pleasant experience at any time specially nasty I would think when someone will be poking about in your eyes ouch!!!

I sincerely hope all goes well and you are out and back to normal as soon as possible.

Will be thinking of you

All the best

Hi there I have played from the age of 13 and all my music is played in a sort of dance tempo style. Have worked in nearly all the North East clubs over the years. That gave me a good grounding. Cheers.

Thank you all very much for your good wishes, I'm home now having had my eyes taped up for two days, I look as though I've been in a boxing ring and lost, I'm black and blue and bloodshot, I can't go outside the front door in case, people think that Norman has been beating me up, I would NEVER ever go through that again, It was so painful, hopefully it's behind me now... Glad you posted that picture. I was actually thinking about asking you if you had one. I'm surprised they worked on both eyes at the same time. I know people here that have had various eye surgeries done and they will only do one eye at a time. I think they do that just in case something goes wrong you won't lose both eyes.
I guess it's better to get all done at once to get it over with. You'll be back to playing in no time. :)

Hi Pam, yes Shirl is OK now thanks, she just hopes the operation was a permanet fix to her problem, we should know more once she sees the specialist towards the end of this month.
We hope you are back to full health again soon.
