About the only thing I miss from my Yamaha PSR-S900 that isn't on my Korg Pa600 is the on-board 'audio recorder' ... The Korg does have an excellent recorder but it requires a lot of faffing about replaying the recording through a program like 'Audacity' in order to convert the resulting wav file to an mp3 for uploading to a sharing site

Mp3 Hardware Encoder/Decoder connects directly to the output of your keyboard and records direct to a USB or SD card - once the recording is complete simply upload the mp3 file to boxnet (or the like) for sharing ... how simple is that

Looks good mike if it works okay, a lot of this cheap electronics stuff comes from china and doesnt always do as it says on the box. I would be interested to hear a recording made using one of these units myself.

Hi

I find it easiest to record direct to a computer (WAV file). then edit & encode for mp3 if needed for publication on the web.

I rarely use the on-board recorders on my keyboards that have them.

Here is a little demo I made after speaking to you on Skype. I set the keyboard level output to central, used USB stick into Encoder, recorded Mp3,placed into Boxnet and then to TDP. Let me know what you think,ATB.jackoj.

Thank you guy`s for letting me know how it sounds to you. This little encoder box cost £7 including delivery and saves such a lot of time in recording to Mp3,you also have the choice of USB of SD card, A best buy I think ATB. jackoj.

Hiya John,

Nice crystal clear recordings for sure - mine's nothing like that at the moment, it's doing a lot of clipping and distortion despite reducing the master volume levels on the output to the absolute minimum

I'm looking at seeing if I can attenuate the sound source within the 600 with hopes of this resolving the problem ... will keep you up-dated of the outcome with a new recording
