Love him or hate him,
Jeremy Clarkson has been sacked and Top Gear will never be the same again

My guess is that one of the other channels will snatch him. .. Fred

The Beeb have definitely shot themselves in the foot over this one.

Part of his attraction was his complete disregard for what was PC!
That's what often made him so funny.
I do believe that many people watched the programme deliberately looking for something to take offence with.

I wonder if the other two will resign?
They refused to do the rest of the season without him before, and the recent brief interview with James May appears to say "they come as a package. But we'll see."

Oh well! The end of an era.

The real question is "has he become too toxic?"

Personally I have never liked him, his rudeness and arrogance irritates the hell out of me.

As for him being sacked ... the BBC made the right decision - to do anything less would be to endorse workplace violence.
Some people will say that this incident has been blown out of proportion - but the man assaulted an individual and that act cannot be condoned by a major corporation.

It's a shame the BBC didn't grow a pair of balls when they dealt with Ross and Brand after their cheap trick on Andrew Sachs ...

Okay ... my rant over with

Hi

IMHO, Clarkson should have been sacked years ago. He's the reason I no longer watch Top Gear, or anything else he's in. His behaviour in this latest incident should - and probably would for any other employee - have resulted in instant dismal. Assault is totally unacceptable. I'm pleased to hear that the police are investigating - I hope they throw the book at him.

Every Blessing

Tony

Hi Totally agree with Mike and Tony. There hasn't been much mention of the poor victim. He deserves support which I think the BBC are doing. I think now all this publicity and hype should stop. John
