The Zombies (and me

Postby papadeedee » 09 Dec 2015 11:59

My wife and I had a fabulous evening at "oran Mor" venue in Glasgow for The Zombies concert.
I literally bumped into Jim Rodford in the bar. (The Zombies bass player also formerly of Argent and 18 years with the Kinks)
I mentioned how I enjoyed the way Dave Davis played his Les Paul he said Dave was a brutal guitarist but I don't think he meant it in a derogatory fashion.
I also mentioned I had recently seen Brian Auger.

Later on we were introduced to Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone. Rod asked me how I enjoyed the Brian Auger concert.
He likes Brian Auger.
I told him that I would post the photos, etc on Tierce De Picardie forum. He was tickled by the name.
When my wife said she wasn't very musical, he told her not to worry that he would play just for her.
He actually sought her out during the performance and twice gave her the thumbs up.
Anne was truly made up.
It is always a treat to meet international stars and Colin and Rod came over as very modest and down to earth.

Left to right, Rod,my wife, me and Colin

Here is Time of the Season ( my camera should have turned off at the end but unknown to me carried on running.) followed by about a minute of She's Not There. I didn't want to video a lot as I wanted to enjoy the show.
