Harold Smart LP - What a Wonderful World

Postby andyg » 17 May 2016 22:29

For those who love their old analogue organs from the 60s and 70s, I've just ripped this one from vinyl and uploaded it here: https://app.box.com/s/s59mhusqtsh8wgn8kef8h9unnfscq20t

You can download the individual tracks from the LP and there's also a zipped file with the cover and the registration sheet that went with most Ad-Rhythm LPs back then.

A good old 'big Thomas' sound from the Palace III, model 921. Circa 1969. All recorded on internal speakers, not an external cabinet in earshot. You can hear the internal leslie wind up and down on a couple of tracks. All multi-tracked, as was Harold Smart's way with LPs.

Enjoy!
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Excellent Andy.
Many thanks.
Seem to remember when Harold demonstrated Thomas and he was using the smallest in the range, he still achieved a 'wonderful' sound.
A really true musician.
"Take Your Pick" from his brilliant playing.
