Viewing Embedded YouTube videos in the Forum .. Help Please!

Postby Hugh-AR » 29 Feb 2020 16:58

NB. Sorted by changing the BBCode for youtube .. Hugh

Hi all,

Some Members are having a problem with viewing Embedded YouTube videos. Brian007; JohnT; and MikeG. When they are looking at a Post that contains an embedded YouTube video it looks like this .. no picture, so nothing to click on.

Image

This happened to me personally, once .. on 17th February .. and the above is a screenshot of what I was looking at. Since that day, I have had no problems at all with embedded videos, but Brian007, JohnT and MikeG are still having problems. But only intermittently!

We really do need some help over this. Could you look at the embedded video below. If the picture to click on is showing .. do nothing. If it is a blank screen please click the POSTREPLY below and let us know. Also please tell us what Browser you are using, and which version of Windows (Eg. Google Chrome; Windows 10).

The below is an embedded YouTube Video

Thanks.

Brian and John .. are you using a laptop/desktop computer with Windows 10 to view? Or a Mobile?

John (who owns and hosts our Forum for us) will be looking at these Replies .. and hopefully they might tell him something.

Hi Hugh,

Using Windows 10 Laptop 64 bit, and chrome, even when using an Ipad no embedded videos show up
If I use Microsoft Edge it shows the adobe logo where the video should be and I have to click on it to make it play

This appears to be intermittent as some time its there and others its not ? Broadband provider is Sky

The older Browser I use the better for seeing the videos Microsoft Edge 44.18362.449.0 Microsoft EdgeHTML 18.18363 works perfect

If anyone needs more info please tag it on to this post,
