Hi Mike

Someone already has.
The Tyros5 is capable of playing back and recording audio files, and also possesses a range of audio manipulation features you can use to create “karaoke” style “minus one” tracks in the key and tempo of your choice.

Welcome to Organ World
The Tyros 5 features Vintage, Home, Euro, Concert, and Theatre organ Voices, all superbly reproduced with stunning samples that allow the Tyros5 to shine in any situation that an organist might encounter. With features such as a comprehensive set of realistic organ-style controls, adjustable effects, and intuitive operation that allows you to alter the sound in real time while you play, Organ World is sure to meet the demands of the most demanding performer.

Authentic Ensemble Performances
Ensemble Voice is an amazing function that utilizes parameters which "humanize" the performance to reproduce the subtle variations in timing heard in a real ensemble. This provides an authentic sound that sounds as if a group of actual performers were playing, and allows you to enjoy playing like an instrumental quartet with ease.

Thanks Fred .... keep it coming :D

I like the sound of the 'authentic ensemble performances' - I'm looking forward to hearing a demo of this :)

I reckon someone's backside at Yamaha UK is going to be a little soar, this morning.

I see the same poor speakers are shown, if the sound is supposed to be that realistic why spoil the effect by using the same speakers which don't let you hear all of the frequencies.?? :?

Hi Bill

I suppose after spending £4k they assume that there is little left to buy good speakers. I know one thing for sure I will never buy a pair of Tyros speakers again.

Well, so much for all the revolutionary changes that were rumored! It looks almost the same and has the same awful speakers that have been around for 10 years. Yes, there are some changes. But, not much really.

Don't be fooled by speaker casing.

All right, Eileen. I shall keep an open mind and await the reports from first players and the new owners.

Love that picture, Mike. I will take one of the bunch, please!

Hi Tom, Interestingly, if you check this new 'leaked' picture with the previous 'official' images you can see a couple of differences, note the position of the 'Tyros 5' logos in both pictures ... again, in the 'leaked' picture the top note on the keyboard is a G and in the other photo the top note is a C.

What I think we are looking at here is a bunch of the 76 note versions of the Tyros 5.

Well to me the speakers on the T4 sounded exactly the same as the ones on the T3. I just wished I had saved my money, so if they say the speakers on the T5 are different than on the T4 I will stick to the Stagepass I have so I can hear all of the sounds which are not present listening through the T4 speakers. :?

Hiya Bill,

They will do ... according to Yamaha specifications for both systems, they are in-fact identical :?
Maybe all they did was to improve the build to give a 'warmer' sound ... perhaps

Yes, they are probably the brand new Tyros 5 76 keyboards.

I saw a spec sheet elsewhere that says the new T5 will utilize new speakers. They are called the MS05's this time. They look the same in the picture so it is not clear what has been done to change them over the T3 and T4 speakers. I do hope they are greatly improved and not just a new connector or clamp with the same old sound.

Hi Tom. There are definitely new speakers with the Tyros 5. The MS02 and MS04 will not work, so the connections may be slightly different this time around, but we'll soon see next week.

I still don't trust them after what I was told about the T4 speakers, so I will not be buying them, no matter what.

I have had little or no trust in them since they started a 'dirty' tricks campaign back in 1978/79 that included the company heading up an illegal 'secret credit syndicate' made up of representatives from all major brands that had extended credit to the organ retail industry; at the monthly meetings they discussed and passed around financial information on the UK dealers ... even this side of 2001, they have been investigated for restrictive practices and in once case back in 2003 were fined over 2 million Euros after a European Commission had concluded that they had violated European Union competition rules by entering into agreements or concerted practices aimed at partitioning the market and fixing resale prices ....

So lets be clear about one thing - It's my opinion that they are not above pulling a few strokes

As for the difference between the MS-02 and MS-04 systems, it must have been cosmetic as (according to Yamaha's own manuals on each system) specification wise, they are identical and it is difficult to see how the 04s would sound any better on the Tyros 4 than the 02s :?

Hi Mike,
I suppose at the end of the day most people are only after a very good keyboard with first class after service. This you do get from Yamaha.

Yes that's very true Eileen, you can't really fault them in that department ... I just wish I could afford a T5 ... even a pre-owned T4 would be magical for me, but even they are out of my reach nowadays :(

I might be able to afford the Tyros 25 if I start saving now
