Früling im Wein

Postby ken horton » 30 Jan 2018 12:15

Here's a simple little German folk waltz tune, I am sure there will be words to it somewhere. I have music book of German traditional tunes and keep threatening myself to get them out and try some again. I think without a vocal they lose impact as I suspect you hear these more in the beer halls down the Rhine where they will be sung with gusto , but will not be attempting such a challenge . Ken (H)

Hi Ken

A nice little tune with interesting chords. Sounds like you are playing the bass pedals in this one. Are you reading the bass part from the music, or just doing your own thing as you go along? Whatever, it sounds perfect!

Hi Hugh, Thanks for you comments , yes I was playing hands and feet, I don't do too much of that these days, ( left hand strictly for chords I am incapable of playing a counter melody with the left hand while the right hand is taking up most of my concentration) but there is the satisfaction of knowing it's all your own work when you manage to get through without any major bloops.! Hi Ken,

A new one on me, never really listened to much German music , but this had a nice melody line and you played it very well
