Welcome to our new challenge which starts now.

This Musical Challenge is to post a song/tune with anything related to the WEATHER the title should if possible contain any reference to the weather
Here`s a link containing some Ideas

http://www.songfacts.com/category-songs ... _title.php

.. but to be honest I did not find it very helpful. A little imagination may be required. Look forward to listen to your post.

Hi Everyone. My version of Singin in the rain. Played in a swing style. If there is any problems blame the rain or dampness. Hope you enjoy your listen.John

Hi John,

Your version of Singing in the Rain has some great voices in and a good style and I enjoyed listening to it
never detected any dampness.

Well you only had to ask once so here it is, and as a special bonus it is "Heavenly Sunlight." I came across this little ditty written in 1899 and thought that it was just the job for a Sunday. So a quick run through by the organ to remind you of the tune and then you can join in with the congregation.

https://app.box.com/s/g1g0tqk449c56n4evt8p2jqhtr27ujov

And if that was not enough how about "Lo, What a Cloud of Witnesses."

https://app.box.com/s/tw7corxitri36mquotigc8nq9mh8xhmr

So that takes care of the sunlight and the clouds. All you need now is a bit of wind - so to speak.

Been to allotment this morning and it is our 46 wedding anniversary today. Took a drive to Seaham Harbour lovely sunny day.Sat and people watched and had a drink in the Look out cafe. A very pleasant afternoon.
Hope a few more posts come. I will try if I get time. Enough of me rattling on. Bye. John.

Hi Keith,

That`s the nearest I have been to a church service in a long long time, but strangely enough I enjoyed listening to them
The voices definitely added to the atmosphere of those two pieces. and blowing in the wind was good also.

To be honest it wasnt what I had expect with a theme on weather but variety is the spice of life or so they say
and 10 out of 10 for imagination.

Hi Brian and John, thanks for your kind comments and congratulations to John and she who must be obeyed on their wedding anniversary. I think that the versatility of modern keyboards is wonderful and as a matter of course on a Sunday I get the classical organ out of the box and play something appropriate. Will be a bit more predictable in the next few days.

I recorded this previously on the Roland but today's version is much lighter. The size 12's get in the way on a few occasions but it is such a beautiful tune it still survives. Written by Alan Menken it is "The Colours of the Wind."

Hi Keith,

A good version of the tune The Colours of the Wind. I have seen the sheet music but never heard it played before
the strings sound absolutely stunning on that organ and I was not aware of any dampness so all in all well played

Hi everyone,
Well the weather has changed again and its now " Raining in my Heart" This has to be one of Buddy Holly's finest ballads in my opinion
this was recorded using a straight 8Beat style no multi-tracking and in just two attempts ( a first for me ) Please enjoy cause I did playing it

First of all an apology to John for missing his first tune. A good attempt John with nice sounds.

I was not going to post another today but while playing for my own amusement stumbled upon this one so switched on the recorder to record "April Showers."

Hi Keith. Nothing Misty about that clear as a bell.nice sound matched the mood of the tune. Looked April showers had me singing along always nice to play. Liked the sounds which felt like rain drops. Both enjoyable listen.
Apology accepted. May try one more if I get time arms aching just cut a conifer hedge which is not mine but boarders my house.
It's a good subject lots of tunes out there makes you think. John

A couple of years ago I was given "1001 All Time Hits" for either a Christmas or birthday present. It's about 6 inches thick and weighs about 6 tons and you might doubt that all of the songs have been hits. I had never heard of this one written in 1958 by Dave Coleman but it might have been a hit in Alaska as it is called Blue Snowfall. I had a little pick at it and quite liked it so here it is.
