Burnside Club last Night

Hi ,

Had a good night at the Burnside Club in Fence House, meet a few more members of both clubs and really enjoyed it, some great music and vocals too. A good night so why not pop a long if your local and take a look and meet some like minded people

It also gave me a great chance to show my bad finger off, for those that weren't their I will try a post a picture of the offending finger

If your squeamish look away now !

Thanks to all the members of the Burnside Club for making me so welcome last night. Enjoyed the music and the chat about keyboards. I did think that drilling a hole through a finger was a bit OTT as a means of avoiding playing!

Hi All,

Just thought that I would let you know that my visit to the Burnside Club helped clarify my thoughts reference acquiring a keyboard. I had thought that I might go for a Tyros 5 TRX system but Monday night made me realise that this would duplicate my Roland AT800 set up rather than adding portability which was the whole point. Not having internal speakers would make the Tyros a pain for my purposes. Having looked at both the Yamaha and the Korg offerings I have decided to go for the Korg PA900. I shall be sorry to see my Viscount Empire Theatre Organ go but I just do not have the space in my music room to add another instrument. Will let you know when it arrives and try to learn how to play it for my next visit to the Club.

Hi All,

My Korg PA900 was delivered yesterday evening. I am trying to get over not using my foot and having just one board. I am challenging myself to post a tune in the challenge section over the long weekend.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have watched the videos but things are slow to stick to the grey matter these days so I can see that this is going to be a slow process!

Thanks for the offer Brian. Making sense of recording is giving problems at the moment but will persevere before calling in the emergency services!

I have just found what was giving me some problems - the screen was not calibrated properly so some things were not working properly. That is now sorted so hopefully progress will be made.
