Pretty Paper

Postby KRUG » 07 Nov 2016 10:34

Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue
Wrap your presents to your darling from you
Pretty pencils to write "I love you"
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue

Crowded street, busy feet hustle by him
Downtown shoppers, Christmas is nigh
There he sits all alone on the sidewalk
Hoping that you won't pass him by

Should you stop, better not, much too busy
You're in a hurry, my how time does fly
In the distance the ringing of laughter
And in the midst of the laughter he cries

Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue
Wrap your presents to your darling from you
Pretty pencils to write "I love you"
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue

The above lyrics are for the seasonal song written by Willie Nelson and also performed by Roy Orbison over sixty years ago. Sing along to "Pretty Paper."

Hi Keith. Vaguely remember that one. Nice Christmassy sounds of bells. Enjoyed my relaxing listen before going to play classical tonight although there is a few who have dropped out. John

Hi Keith,

Just found this one, Not a song I really familiar with but sounded good to me and well worth a listen.

New to me. A fairly bland melody but your choice of voices raised the interest level. .. Fred
