Christmas Dreaming

This one dates from 1947 so is around the same age as quite a few of us. We are supposed to be living in a time of austerity but just after the war with ration books and a shortage of everything dreaming was all most people could do. There are few words to this song but absolutely nothing materialistic about it.

I'm doing my Christmas dreaming a little early this year,
No sign of snow around;
And yet I go around hearing jingle bells ringing in my ear,
Your promise must be the reason,
The happy season is here;
So I'm doing my Christmas dreaming a little early this year

Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick, Jr both recorded this song.

Hi Keith Not one I can recall. I think we all dream a little, no different after the war. Lovely sounds. A pleasant listen. John

Hi Keith,

Before my time this one, not one I am familiar with but still some nice voices and well played.
