Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mild
The music, words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol 'Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mild' date back to the fourteenth century and the writer is unknown.

The carol is German and it can be traced as having been performed in the 16th Century mystery plays in Leipzig.
1. Joseph dearest, Joseph mild,
Help me rock my little Child.
God will give you your reward in heav'n above,
The Son of Virgin Mary.

2. Gladly, dearest, Mary mine,
I will rock your Kindelein.
God will give me my reward in heav'n above,
The Child of Virgin Mary.

3. Luria, lulla, lullaby,
(Hum music for this line)
Lulla, lulla, lullaby (Hum music to end of line)
The Son of Virgin Mary.

A Happy Christmas to you all.

Keith

Hi Keith. Another one I've not heard., but it had a sort of country Christmas feel. A pleasant listen. John
