"The angel Gabriel from heaven came" is a Basque Christmas folk carol
about the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary
It quotes the biblical account of that event and was translated into English
by Sabine Baring-Gould. It is best known from that version.

I love listening to these snippets from carol services. Brings back the memories of concerts at schools where I have taught. The children always sang these carols brilliantly, and enthusiastically. A boon for any organist or choir master.
