Pavan...

Postby KenH » 07 Nov 2022 12:36

Composed in 1887 By French composer Gabriel Fauré' his graceful Pavan was originally a piano piece, based on a traditional Spanish court dance , but better known as the full orchestral piece.

Played on CVP Clavinova using two stryles!
Initially; Classic/Arpeggio1 @ 72 bpm - I have edited the style-file to utilise Pizzicato Strings. At 1:21 the style changes to Chillout1 to bring the piece 'up-to-date' and with a fuller sound (philistine!!!)...

Ken,

Those pizzicato strings were very effective in creating the atmosphere for this first part of your piece. What a change when you brought in the Chillout1 style! Certainly very different! Not sure how well that would have gone down in 1887!
