Hi!
This piece featured in many films. It has also been played by Andre Rieu and many Symphony orchestras. Chopin's Etude Opus 10. Do you recognise it. Ken S

Hi Ken,

Yes, I did recognise the piece. One I do like, and it certainly sounded good with those orchestral voices. Wonder what Chopin would have thought if it? Quote from Wikipedia:
Frédéric François Chopin was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era who wrote primarily for solo piano. He has maintained worldwide renown as a leading musician of his era, one whose "poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation".

Hugh

PS. I didn't know Chopin was Polish!

Hello Kens,

I know this has been an old post of yours but as I am a newcomer exploring. I’m a lover of Chopin and had to listen to this. Very well performed. Really enjoyed listening to this piece.

Hi James Thanks for your comments. Have a look at Shooting the Breeze page. The page where Hugh talks about modern music being bad. My response. Ken

Hello Ken, Know the piece well, think some of the melody was adapted for a hymn that I played in church.
The best version is Claudio Arrau. Claimed to be the best person playing Chopin. Note that this is played in E maj
