Breathe

I have a vocal harmoniser on my Korg's PA4 - It really is amazing.

I rarely sing, but I was dying to have a go. So, I chose a number by Pink Floyd called 'Breathe' which has strong vocal harmonics, and I gave it a go...it's only short you'll be pleased to know.

I managed to do the whole thing 'live' i.e. singing and playing at the same time.

No laughing, please!

Hi Peter,

That was a very good performance of that number, I can vaguely remeber it from my younger days, just goes to show what can be done

All the best, Brian007

Peter,

I was going to say, "Wow!" .. but I think I'll say, "Wah-wah" instead. I always like the wah-wah you do in your songs. Find that sound 'smooth' and relaxing.

A hidden talent then. Too short, I reckon. Could have done with a bit more. I just love the sound a vocal harmoniser produces. Roy (tyritzer) has done a few songs with it on his Tyros 4. The Tyros is very clever in how it produces a 'stereo' effect too by panning the lower harmonies to one side and the higher ones to the other .. yet keeping the main song being sung in the centre. The Tyros does this with other instruments too, like the vibraphone.

I think my favourite bit of vocal harmonisation (is there such a word? .. sounds like the government working out a trade deal with the EU) is by Robbiedoes, which I have put in Music Videos Member's Choice:

Thank you Hugh n Brian

It’s quite addictive this vocal harmoniser, because you actually sound not too bad!!
There must be around 100 preset harmoniser settings on the PA4, this one is my favourite, and I continue to use it for all
vocal tracks.

Hope to post a new one I’m destroying at the moment this week.

glad you enjoyed it.
