This Boy

Ok, maybe they weren’t really a duo, but it was written by Lennon and McCartney.
I may be bending the rules a bit here Brian!

‘This Boy’ by The Beatles - a duo (ish) within a group.

Recorded live on PA4

I don't think I have heard this tune before but the blend of voice and instruments came together very well. Nice work. .. Fred

Thanks Fred

Little known tune of theirs. Was the ‘B’ side of one of their early hits.

Hi Peter,

No not bending the rules , It was also recorded by a Duo so I am assuming your version is a cover of the version by the duo of Robson & Jerome

Both musically and vocally it was a very good performance of that classic Beatles number, the vocals where very good, so all in all a good performace
and I really liked it,

All the best , Brian007

Looking into all this, I am finding Brian's 'Challenge criteria' really interesting! What is a 'Duo'? What is a 'Duet'?

According to WikiDiff:
As nouns the difference between duet and duo is that duet is (music) a musical composition in two parts, each performed by a single voice (singer, instrument or univoce ensemble) while duo is a twosome, especially musicians.

https://wikidiff.com/duet/duo

So here is 'This Boy' performed by a 'Duo' .. The MonaLisa Twins. Well, there are only the two of them, but by using some clever video work and multi-tracking they have managed to clone their images and get a 'twin' ... So this is in 'three part harmony' (but it's only the two of them!).

What a fabulous recording of this song!
