Where does the time go when your creating registrations and arrangements for your songs ?

This is always a problem. I spend ages creating registrations and arrangements for things I play. And then I spend even more time trying to record them, and this often takes me anything up to 15 attempts before I get it right. Friends say to me, "Can't be bothered with all that. I just like to switch on and play".

So I suppose it all depends on what grabs you. I enjoy setting things up. And then I also spend too much time on this Forum, and don't get round to playing my organ as often as I would like to! But then I enjoy doing that too, and sometimes I get hooked on something and can't let go.

I find myself revisiting songs that id previously created arrangements for and end up reworking the registrations sometimes changing the sounds and the eq of the individual instruments, panning the sounds and tweaking the volumes / effects.
