My Way

MY WAY, by Elvis Presley

Elvis loved this tune which he recorded in 1973 and again in 1977, then he sang it live on 21 June 1977 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Sadly he passed away less than two months later.
After Elvis’s death in November 1977, another version was released as a single and it reached No.2 on the Country Singles Chart.
While MY WAY was considered to be Frank Sinatra’s song, many people believe that Elvis’s version was more moving.

Mi Margaret,

I love that 'harp' backing you have used that runs right through this song. This is a song that really does build up to a crescendo and you have achieved that.

Here is a YouTube video of Elvis singing this song, and I note that it has a similar backing to yours .. but on the piano.

In his version he completely changes the rhythm towards the end. Here are a couple of comments that appear underneath the video, which backs up what you have said above.
I like this version over Sinatra's original. It has more feeling in it and resonates better within my soul.
Sorry Sinatra but I gotta give this one to Elvis.
