Tyros 4 - Registrations Loud Strings

Postby NativeAngels » 10 Aug 2020 22:50

Here’s my first upload of registrations I’ve created on my Tyros 4. I’ve called them Loud Strings. Buttons 1 and 2 are the same string sounds but button 2 the sounds have been panned. Button 3 is a different variation. I wanted them to have a classical feel.

Anyhow any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi James,

Nice sounding LOUD STRINGS to the right of the split, and I really like the contrast you have with the AnalogPad to the left of the split. Nice and 'rounded'. I use DarkSawPad on the left of the split for the same reason.

You asked for comments. To be honest, there is not a discernible difference between your Registration Memory 1 and your Registration Memory 2. Particularly when you have another 'string' voice in R1, which is centred. If you want something 'panned' then pan it! Put R2 63 to the left, and R3 63 to the right. You then have your strings with one clearly to the left; one centred; and one clearly to the right. A full string orchestra.

Now ...

The whole idea of creating a Registration is to have something in mind to play with it when you've done it. So what do you have in mind for playing with this one? Looking forward to hearing it!

I was thinking something on the lines of Nimrod.
