What is the 'Direct Access' button for on Yamaha Tyros

Hi Hugh I have a T2 and use controls automatically. It is about five or six years since I looked at the manual but I use it to go to the screen required. Example,
press Direct Acsess and at the same time press function required say one the microphone buttons and it takes you straight to the microphone settings.

Brilliant button! Press it, then press another button and you go straight to that page in the menu system. If you press it with ACMP, up comes a screen offering split points, fingering modes etc. Press it and press a footswitch or pedal and you get all the options for that pedal.

I usually use it to set the footpedal to change the four registrations. .. Fred
