What are 'One Touch Setting'?

If you are playing a piano, then you will have the sound of the piano from beginning to end. But with a Keyboard or Organ you can change a 'Voice' at the press of a button. Now you could do this using a Registration Memory, but a Registration Memory is better used for changing more than just a voice. Of course on an organ you can have two different Voices set up, one on the Upper and one on the Lower. Using a different voice is then just a case of moving one's hand from the Upper to the Lower. Fred (dragon) has done this when playing "It's Four In The Morning". Read what I have said (below), and then scroll back to the first post and watch Fred's YouTube video.

But with a Keyboard you have voices that you can select at the touch of a button (all other parameters remaining the same). Here are one or two YouTube Videos showing you some 'One touch Settings' and using them.

No explanation in this one. Just visual.

Explains how to change the 'default' Voice in a Style Variation.

I've seen some people use there own one touch setting for the sounds and then Musicfinder for the song.

Hello, The OTS (One touch Settings) are similar to the registration buttons but they are stored in the Style. Select a style, then select the voices for the OTS button 1, press memory then OTS button 1 and you will get the dialogue box "Save this style to another name" (or words to that effect.) If you want to reset all four of the OTS then follow the same procedure for buttons 2,3,4. This can give you 12 variations (8 reg buttons and 4 OTS). I save mine to the H/D. Regards Den.
