Until you brought all this up I had no idea there was such an instrument .. an Ocarina! And even more surprised that it is featured on our Tyros 4 keyboard. Glad you have given us a recording of it so we can hear it being played.

As we are talking about playing acoustic instruments authentically on a keyboard, the more I look into it the more I realise there is no way a keyboard can give you the 'feel' of the real instrument.

Violin

You couldn't possibly get a keyboard to sound like the violinist in this piece:

Click the X in the top right hand corner of the advert when it appears to get rid of it.
There is nothing more annoying when watching a video than to have an advert obscuring the middle of what you are watching!

Saxophone

Don Wherly has played this on his AR80 organ. They say that the voices on these older organs are not up to much, but you could have fooled me! I can't find a Saxophone on my Tyros 4 that sounds anything like as good as this one. Just listen to the breathiness of those lower notes. And of course it's the way Don plays it too .. just how a sax player would play his instrument.

Better remind ourselves of what a real saxophone sounds like when played well. I have come across this on audio.com posted by George Peter Tingley (this is his own composition).

A fresh mix of my jazz tune "Saturday Nite" featuring George Brooks on tenor sax.

There is no way we could get a saxophone to sound like this on a keyboard!
