I acquired an old Carlboro Cobra 90 amp with 4 channels and I'm trying to get the best sound out of it.

James,

I must confess that when I think of 'sound' from a keyboard I am always thinking about 'voices' and 'combinations of voices'. And I normally listen with headphones. But of course, as you have pointed out, how a keyboard 'sounds' when played 'live' is very important. Particularly when you are playing out and about. At our organ club we have some artistes come who have brilliant amp set-ups; and others who are almost impossible to listen to. Speakers on the top of poles; speakers on the floor; rich sounds, tinny sounds etc. And the overall sound they get can either make or break an evening.

I hope you get the sound that you want from your keyboard when you play it 'live'.

Hugh

I know its like eq it depends on the venue.

When I play in homes the internal speakers are fine in the rooms, and setup needs to be quick.
