Hymns/Songs for 26th July 2020

Postby Rev Tony Newnham » 24 Jul 2020 09:17

Hi

Here's my selection of music for our "Church at Home" this coming Sunday - including something a little different.

We start with a short hymn prelude, going straight into the song "Be Still"

(The prelude by itself is here. Guess who forgot to change the title screen:-)

Next up is a meditation (with music) written by John Bell & Graham Maule of the Iona community. Anyone see a theme emerging here?

We conclude with the hymn "To God be the Glory"

And the concluding organ voluntary is based on the same hymn - apologies for the wrong notes - I haven't had much time this week!)

I've put the service together this week (and it looks like I'll be doing next week as well!) so let me know if you want a copy of the whole thing via e-mail.

Every Blessing

Tony

Hi

I've just changed the link to the meditation. A friend pointed out a problem with the original piano recording if you tried listening in mono. A couple of hours fiddling and battling "features" of the video edit software I managed to salvage the track, but it's now in glorious mono!

Every Blessing

Hi Tony. Another good selection. I enjoyed your spoken words fitted in very well with the tune. To God be the glory know it well from choir boy days. Managed to sing along. Looking forward to next week. Keep safe and well. John
