Hi
It's that time of the week again. All went quite smoothly this time, including using a very powerful "new to me" computer for the editing. Only problem is the changes between old & new versions of the editing programme which has changed a few things, including a function I was using a lot, and now no longer works how it used to. Makes life interesting (or something!). Here's this Sunday's selection:-
First up is "At the name of Jesus". I'm playing the tune Camberwell, composed by Michael Brierley in 1960. It was first published in that year by "The Twentieth Century Church Light \music Group" in the same year (and I have a copy of the publication in my collection). It's since become one of the standard tunes for the hymns, despite some parts of the tune which would make a music theory teacher cringe! Originally conceived with piano in mind, I've recorded it also on organ, so take your pick - or listen to both.
Organ:
Piano:
Next up is a Graham Kendrick song, Meekness & Majesty.
We close the service with the hymn "Just as I am". There are a number of tunes to this hymn, but I've chosen "Wordsworth" today.
Enjoy.
Every Blessing
Tony
