Adelaide Woensdag 26 Oktober 2022.

I wake up to a brand new day,
The mist is down, the sky is grey,
The people tread their weary way
To their occupation.

The cars out on the street just flow
Along the road, but oh so slow
The rain comes down, nowhere to go
Just sit in contemplation.

The sun it seems may just break through
Suppose there’s nothing else to do,
Could think of it as morning dew
But don’t get motivation.

The trains don’t run, the floods abound
There’s water everywhere around
Could build an arc but no dry ground
Use Google navigation?

The oceans now are getting high
To keep the land from being dry
We all could sit and have a cry
To show our concatenation.

The rain could stop and have a rest
For us to get and do our best
To clean up sludge and slime and pest
But don’t get motivation.

The rainbow should be in the sky
There is no room for it to try
The clouds just keep on rolling by
Suppose it’s just damnation.
